Types of Vape Carts

Prefilled Vape Carts:

These are sealed and come pre-filled with essential oil. They are typically disposable, meaning they cannot be refilled once the liquid is exhausted. Users simply discard them after use. These are often chosen for their convenience and ease of use.

Ceramic Cartridges:

These often feature a refillable design with a ceramic heating element. They are favored for their durability and the pure flavor they provide since ceramic is non-reactive. They can be refilled in the same manner as standard refillable cartridges by unscrewing the mouthpiece and filling them with a syringe.

Refillable 510 Cartridges:

These cartridges can be opened and refilled multiple times. They usually have a 510-thread connection, making them compatible with many vape pens. To refill, users typically unscrew the mouthpiece or top cap and use a syringe to carefully add the e-liquid or oil. 510 vape cartridge is cost-effective and environmentally friendly since it reduces waste, but it requires more maintenance and cleaning.

How to Open a Cart?

 

1. Screw the cartridge into the 510 thread port of the CartDub Light or Bar plate to secure it.
2. Position the appropriate CartDub wedge bar next to the cartridge. Use the short wedge bar for 0.5ml cartridges and the long wedge bar for 1.0ml cartridges.
3. With the CartDub flat pliers, grip the sealed edge of the cartridge tip. Place the flat base of the pliers on top of the wedge bar to create leverage, then gently pry the cartridge open. The CartDub kit simplifies the cartridge opening process, offering a safer alternative to risky methods like using vise grips or needle nose pliers to remove vape cartridge mouthpieces.

 

How to Remove Oil from Open Vape Carts?

 

1. After removing the top from your prefilled cart, turn it upside down and place it into the CartDub plate.
2. Position the plate with the cartridges on the CartDub oil recovery tray, or any fire-proof recovery pan you're using.
3. Preheat your oven to 190°F.
4. Put the plate and tray setup into the oven and heat for 20 minutes at 190°F.
5. Once the 20 minutes are up, take the system out of the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes, and then separate the cartridge tray from the recovery pan. Ensure the cartridges have fully drained before proceeding. CartDub dab tools are extremely useful for collecting oil from the tray, particularly when the thick oil is in a concentrated, semi-solid state.
